Migrate from Webflow to custom code
The same site, rebuilt in code and moved to your own server. The monthly plan stops, the pages get lighter, and hosting and SEO are yours to control.
You might be here because
01
The site changes a few times a year, and the plan bills every month.
02
Webflow’s new plans or bandwidth limits raised the bill.
03
You want the site in code that your own team, or an AI agent, can work on.
What you get
The same design, without the monthly plan.
A site that rarely changes does not need a visual editor. It needs to load fast and cost little to keep online.
Every page rebuilt in code
As plain static pages or in a framework such as Astro or Next.js, whichever fits the site.
What export leaves behind
Webflow’s code export drops CMS content, and forms and site search stop working. I rebuild those, so nothing breaks on the day of the move.
Your content moved
CMS items become files or a small CMS, whichever suits how often you edit.
A redirect for every old address
So that search rankings carry over.
Hosting you control
On your own server or a host of your choice, with HTTPS and no bandwidth meter.
Checks after launch
A crawl of the old addresses, then two weeks of watching Search Console.
How it goes
01
Count the templates
The time depends on the number of templates, not the number of pages.
02
Get a fixed price
One number, after a short brief.
03
Rebuild on a staging address
You compare the old site and the new one side by side.
04
Switch the domain
Redirects go live, the Webflow plan is cancelled, and I watch the results.
Price
A fixed price after a short brief.
It depends on the number of templates. What you stop paying Webflow comes back every year.
Platform fees
612
USD saved a year
Webflow’s list prices on 5 October 2026. Extra bandwidth, more languages and editor seats come on top; check your own invoices.

Questions
Can we not just export the code from Webflow?
You can, from a paid Workspace, and for a site without a CMS that may be enough. The export leaves out CMS content, and forms and search stop working. Those are the parts I rebuild.
Do we still pay Webflow afterwards?
No. Once the domain points to the new server, the site plan can be cancelled.
Will the site be faster?
Usually, because the pages no longer carry Webflow’s own scripts. Custom code is not faster by default, though. It has to be built lean, and I measure before and after.
Will we lose search rankings?
Not if every old address points to its new one. I map the redirects, crawl the old list after launch and watch Search Console for two weeks.
How do we edit content afterwards?
Through a developer, or through a small CMS if you edit often. That is the trade for dropping the monthly plan.
When is it better to stay on Webflow?
When marketing edits pages every week without a developer. Then the Designer and the CMS earn their cost.

Speed score optimization
Images, scripts, fonts and settings tuned inside Webflow, measured before and after. Faster pages rank better, lose fewer visitors and use less bandwidth.

Language versions
Your site in a second or third language with Webflow Localization: translated pages and CMS, localized SEO, hreflang, and a way to keep the versions in step.
Service
When to move off Webflow, and when to stay
A rebuild in code removes the monthly plan. It also removes the visual editor. Here is how I decide which matters more.
From the blog
What a Webflow site costs per year, line by line
The plan is only the first line. Seats, extra languages and apps add up to more than most teams expect.
